Northern Ireland Publications Resource, NIPR

The Northern Ireland Publications Resource, NIPR, is an initiative sponsored by the Library & Information Services Council (Northern Ireland) with funding from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL).

Northern Ireland has no National Library, so NIPR  aims to identify, collect and preserve every book, pamphlet, periodical and report published in Northern Ireland since January 2000 and create an accompanying bibliography.

By donating their publications, local publishers are helping to build a collection that is evolving into an invaluable archive of Northern Ireland’s unique literary heritage. NIPR guarantees that all material deposited into its care will be preserved for posterity.

In 2010 NIPR celebrated 10 successful years. A very big thank you to all our supporters. Free copies of NIPR's anniversary book, Northern Ireland Publications Resource: the first 10 years, 2000-2010, can be collected from the Linen Hall Library while stocks last or click to download a pdf copy.

Check out the latest additions to the NIPR collection  or select the Acquisitions button on the menu bar to access all the recent quarterly lists of acquisitions.

If you know of any local publications produced after January 2000, which are not already listed in the NIPR catalogue, please fill in a Publications Details Form.  Your help is greatly appreciated.
