Guildhall Press

Guildhall Press was founded in 1979 as a voluntary educational book-publishing trust. Its original aims were to research, write and publish all aspects of local history. In recent years, the scope of the publications produced has widened to encompass books concentrating on the history of the past thirty years in the north of Ireland, giving Guildhall Press the potential to operate in a larger market, whilst retaining its role as an active community organisation.

Ulster Architectural Heritage Society

Since 1967 the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society has been working to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of good architecture of all periods and encouraging the conservation, restoration and re-use of Ulster's built heritage. The Society's publications range from general books on local architecture to monographs on particular architects or houses. At the core are the historical gazetteers that describe nearly every building in many of Ulster's towns with detailed descriptions and histories illuminated by anecdotes and numerous photographs.
